If you are interested in studying a prestigious Masters degree delivered across multiple countries in Europe, you may wish to look at an Erasmus Mundus joint Master Degree programme.
The first Erasmus Mundus project was devised by the European Union, designed to enhance quality in higher education in the EU. Erasmus Mundus, funded by the European Commission, offered students exciting opportunities through scholarships and the chance to collaborate with other universities in the EU and around the world. The first Erasmus Mundus scheme ended in 2013.
From 2014, Erasmus Mundus moved under the umbrella of the Erasmus+ funding scheme, which is due to run until 2027. Under Erasmus+, students can apply to Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree (EMJMD) programmes.
Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters Degree (EMJMD) programmes are Masters level degree programmes, delivered by select groups of participating European universities. Students on these programmes are able to study in at least two European countries, but usually several, during their programme, and may graduate with either a joint Masters degree or multiple Masters degrees upon conclusion of their studies, depending on the course and the universities delivering the course. EMJMD degrees take between 1 and 2 years to complete, equivalent to between 60, 90 or 120 ECTS credits.
Students applying to a EMJMD programme must already be educated up to bachelor level, and may apply from anywhere in the world. EMJMD programmes are highly prestigious programmes, so there is heavy competition for places. Scholarships are offered for the best students. These scholarships will contribute towards:

Most of the programmes on this list do have scholarships available, but you must check course by course as this is not always the case. The list on this website outlines the destinations at which the course will be delivered.
The topics covered by EMJMD programmes are wide and varied, with example subjects including Biomedical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Particle Physics, Global Forestry and Marine Biotechnology.
To apply for an EMJMD programme, you must contact the university offering the course directly. Applications to EMJMD programmes should generally be made between October and January, with specific dates and entry requirements available on the university website of the course provider.
