Australia is well known for its educational excellence, and holds great opportunities for those students wishing to study medicine in Australia. There is currently over 20 medical schools in Australia offering a range of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees to prospective students.
Both undergraduate and postgraduate medicine degree programs can take anywhere between four and seven years of full time study to complete, making the learning process a lengthy and vigorous one.
Students enrolled on medicine courses will learn about various areas of medicine throughout their studies. During years one to four the student can expect to find out more about infection, respiratory sciences, urology, surgery and adolescent health. Some courses also allow for students to specialise in certain areas of medicine that interest them personally.
