English Language and Mathematics at grade C minimum or grade 4 in the newly reformed GCSE qualification.

International Baccalaureate

35 points in total with at least 17 points at higher level which must include one science to at least grade 5 (higher level)

IELTS 6.5. Minimum 6 in any component

Some English language test results are only valid for two years. Your English language test report must be valid on the start date of the course.

BTEC Extended Diploma

BTEC Extended Diploma with a minimum of 100 credits awarded at Distinction, 70 at Merit and the remaining 10 credits at Pass or above. 60 credits must be in a science subject at distinction.

In addition to the extended diploma, we also accept the below BTEC qualifications in conjunction with A levels. Please note that the examples provided are equivalent to grade A at level. The actual offer made will be determined by the overall requirements for the specific course you have applied for. Please contact us for more information:

BTEC Level 3 Diploma: Grade A at A-level plus the BTEC 120 credit Diploma with a minimum of 100 credits awarded at Distinction and the remaining 20 credits at Merit. THE BTEC SUBJECT WILL BE TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION WHEN MAKING A DECISION.

BTEC Subsidiary Diploma: Grades AA at A-level, plus the BTEC 60 credit Subsidiary Diploma with a minimum of 50 credits awarded at Distinction and the remaining 10 credits at Merit. THE BTEC SUBJECT WILL BE TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION WHEN MAKING A DECISION.

Access to HE Diploma

Overall 60 credits are required with 45 at level 3: 30 credits at Distinction, 15 of which should be in science, and 15 credits at Merit

Non-standard educational routes

If you have followed a non-standard educational route and have been, for example, educated at home, your application will be considered against the standard entry criteria of the course to which you applied. You will be required to demonstrate that you meet the academic entry requirements as specified for the course. We will also require a reference which should be written by somebody who knows you well enough, in an official capacity, to write about you and your suitability for higher education.
