The International MBA with a Major in Food Security is a part-time, blended learning programme that embraces the philosophy of Action Learning. For those looking to continue beyond Master level education, the International MBA is the perfect stepping-stone on the journey to continued success, learning and breakthrough.
From the outset, as an International MBA student you will focus 100% on topics of relevance to you and your organisation. Through research and discussion, you will discover methods to resolve issues and implement new plans; applying change through action. You will complete four in-house assignments; Action Learning Projects (ALPs) aimed at issues of departmental level. Then the completion of the Dissertation, tackles a strategic organisational predicament where various research methodologies also come in to play.

Those that address problems alone stand alone, but those that form a strong team and tackle a problem in a cohesive, synergistic manner, ask challenging questions and devise the strongest of formulas for change, they therefore realise their goals in an empowering fashion. Assessment is based upon the areas that are relevant to professionals in a leadership position; we will appraise your diagnosis of the problem, your plan of action, your field research, your evaluation of the situation, and how you implement the plan to resolve the issue. Finally, we will assess your personal reflection of the situation; what you learned through the process and what if anything you will change next time.

- Netherlands Fellowship Programme
The Netherlands Fellowship Programme is applicable to the International MBA Programme of Business School Netherlands, offered by Nuffic. As of 2015 each embassy has its own focus area to support the development goals of the Netherlands in each NFP country. The overall objective is to spend the budget on grants and study programmes in food security, water management and sexuality and reproductive health and rights, and private sector development.
Major in Food Security
In order to provide the future world with adequate food in quantity and quality as well as safe and culturally acceptable, we have to come up with appropriate strategies. Strategies in terms of innovation, adaptive agriculture, sustainable markets, secure and health foods and resource management. This major will provide you with insight in the role of food security for attaining the Millennium Development Goals and will strengthen your competencies to facilitate solutions, planning and processes.
The International MBA with a Major in Food Security will be delivered in co-operation with the University of Wageningen (NL).

Managers or management trainees who are nationals of and working and living in one of the 51 NFP countries: http://www.studyinholland.nl/scholarships/scholarships-administered-by-nuffic/netherlands-fellowship-programmes/nfp-country-list. Candidates who hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent diploma, have a minimum of 2 years relevant post graduate work experience, have approval from his/her organisation to do research and execute assignments, have internet and email access. Should English not be your mother tongue or the language used during your undergraduate studies, you will require a minimum pass mark for a TOEFL which is 550 (paper); 213 (computer) or 79/80 (internet based) or IELTS 6.0.
