About Accounting and Financial Management, MSc - at Henley Business School, University of Reading

Aim

This programme provides students with the tools for understanding the financial reporting and financial management of enterprises operating in an international environment.

Structure and Content
In this programme students can choose from two pathways; 9-months and 12-months. Both courses aim to equip students with the analytical and practical skills required to become competent players in the international business environment.

Anglo-American Accounting
International Accounting
Multinational Financial Reporting and Analysis
Financial Regulation
Financial Markets
Contemporary Management Practice (incorporating a 5000 word project, 9 month programme)
Dissertation (incorporating Study Skills, 12 month programme)

Elective modules
For the 9-month programme students will select 3 further modules, 2 of which must be critical core. For 12-month programme students will select a further 2 modules from critical core

Assessment Written examinations, assignments, case studies, group presentations.

Entry requirements

Students are expected to have obtained an upper second class honours degree or equivalent, involving study of accounting and economics.

For those whose first language is not English, a pass in an approved test in English is required. Applicants need either an average score of 7.0 on IELTS, 600 in written TOEFL, or at least 250 overall in computer-based TOEFL.
