General programme structureAll learning is done `by doing` in a busy collegial studio environment. Students undertake a series of assignments to develop an area of interst or particular direction they may wish their careers to follow. Social, cultural, environmental and economic issues are integrated into the programme to encourage a comprehensive and more holistic approach to design.The programme follows four core modules that underpin and provide a foundation for the major project. A series of lectures, seminars, and tutorials are scheduled to enable opportunities to develop both specific product design skills along side a more generic creative awareness. Workshops are available everyday where students are encouraged to develop, refine and make artefacts to demonstrate their assignment outputs.Individuals can either attend full time (1 year) or part time (2 years) to obtain either a postgraduate diploma or MA in Design.Students must achieve 180 credits (four taught modules plus an MA project) for an MA award. Successful completion of 120 credits, may lead to a postgraduate Diploma award.
