The University of Lincoln’s award-winning campus provides a modern, student-centred environment on the picturesque Brayford Pool marina, where everything you need is either on campus or just a short walk away in the city centre. With its medieval castle and one of the finest cathedrals in Europe, Lincoln is steeped in history and home to galleries, cinemas, shopping, restaurants, bars and nightclubs.

Lincoln is a safe, student-centred city and the University has a fantastic range of accommodation, both on-campus and within a short walking distance of your classroom. Wherever you choose to live, either in University accommodation or one of the University-approved private developments, we’ll help you find a place to live.

We understand that some students may wish to live in same-gender apartments, be with students of a similar cultural or religious background or just be with their friends. Wherever possible, we will do our best to fit your individual needs.

The following Scholarships are available for overseas fee-paying students for September 2016:

  • Unlimited Postgraduate Global Scholarships of £2,000
  • Academic Excellence Scholarships of £5,000
  • Alumni Scholarships of £2,000
  • Top-up to Masters Degree of £5,000 (for students progressing from a third year ‘top up’ degree to as Masters Degree)
  • £1500 Scholarship for all undergraduate laboratory and design studio based programmes (first year only)
  • One £5,000 Santander scholarship will be available to qualifying applicants from the BSc (Hons) Chemistry programme
  • One £5,000 Santander scholarship will be available to qualifying applicants from the BSc (Hons) Mathematics programme

Study Abroad Exchanges

International Study Abroad Exchanges (Partner institutions)

The University of Lincoln, UK has a growing number of partnerships worldwide, including USA, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, China, and Japan.

Who can study abroad and how to apply?

To study abroad as an exchange student you must:-

  • Study in a School or on a programme which has a link with an international partner institution
  • Be registered at the University as an undergraduate, postgraduate or doctoral student
  • Have successfully completed your first year of undergraduate study
  • Have sufficient academic and linguistic ability (where necessary) to be able to benefit from a study period abroad
  • Be nominated by your School to take part in the scheme - speak to your exchanges coordinator about the application process

Study Abroad for students (non-Partner institutions)

Our Study Abroad programme welcomes students from all over the world. We provide you with the opportunity to study for one semester or one year alongside students completing a University of Lincoln undergraduate degree, in any discipline of study. Applications (Study Abroad Form [.DOC]) should be made directly to the University and sent to studyabroad@lincoln.ac.uk.

The University Library opens for self-service at 08:30 Monday-Friday, whilst desk services are available from 08.45 to 23.45 Monday to Thursday, closing at 16.45 on Fridays. Opening hours are reduced at weekends.
