UCAM is the place for students who want to lead the next generations based on their acquired knowledge, experience and human quality. It is coherent to include an English taught Master’s Degree of Business Administration in our broad academic offer: with this curriculum, UCAM facilitates a high quality training program in accordance with the university’s values and objectives and is able to welcome students from all over the world.
The here presented MBA provides graduates from a variety of backgrounds – e.g. law, communication, engineering, arts and health – with a solid formation in business administration, hereby enabling them to further develop their professional career. After UCAM’s Full-Time MBA, graduates will be ready to start their own businesses as entrepreneurs, act as executive directors, accountants, economists, project administrators and human resources experts or fulfill any other managerial position in a company. To achieve this goal, the teaching faculty is composed of both academic lecturers as well as company executives who will assist students in developing their knowledge and skills.
With a total of 60 ECTS, the MBA is an Official Master’s Program with recognition throughout the European Higher Education Area, paving access to any aspired PhD program.
The 360 hours of lectures are complemented with a minimum of 150 hours of hands-on experience in a company and 990 hours of practical work – individual or as a group. Moreover, from April on students should dedicate 1.5 hours a day to work on their Master’s Project, which they will present and defend in September.
From OCTOBER to APRIL
Social, Economic and Legal Environment (5 ECTS)
Together with experts from the respective fields, the student will learn and debate about the culture and context in which companies and societies are currently operating in. An initial understanding and foundation of the bigger picture are essential to the successful application of the skills the student will acquire throughout the course.
Accounting and Finance (5 ECTS)
Managing resources are one of the most important activities of businessmen. This module will give the student a clear notion of the utility of accountancy as a means to simplify financial information and improve decision-making processes.
Trade Management and Marketing (5 ECTS)
In this module, students will discover the creation of value as a result of the commercial efficiency of a company and its marketing strategy, finding application in the company specific mix of product, price, place and promotion related aspects.
Human Resources and Managerial Skills (7 ECTS)
A good leader not only excels in stimulating his team to produce effective and efficient results but also manages in a way that facilitates his employees’ full potential. Personnel management and human resources planning require specific tangible and tacit capabilities and know-how which this module addresses in detail.
Business Strategies (8 ECTS)
This module will elaborate how to master the different instruments and means needed to develop a long-term strategy in today’s business world. This module will provide you with specific tools to integrate into a company, thereby yielding cutting edge strategies for the business’ respective market.
From MAY to JULY
Financial Management and Business Organization (15 ECTS)
As a specific module, Financial Management and Business Organization will assist the student in understanding and identify problems and solutions in the financial context of a business, wherein applying concepts, techniques, and methods adopted by top companies all around the world. The student will be able to make informed decisions about investments, financial resources’ management, funding and about the main agents of the financial system.
Business Internship (6 ECTS)
Participation in the daily activities and managerial tasks of a company by means of a 150 hours internship that will give the student hands-on work experience. Supervised by a tutor, MBA students can assist the assigned company in tackling challenges and identifying new solutions for growth. UCAM can place MBA students in top national and multinational companies such as Siemens, Repsol, El Pozo, Hero, Estrella de Levante, Grupo Garcia Carrión, Vidal or Antena 3.
Master's Final Project (9 ECTS)
The aim of the students’ final master project is the evaluation of all learning outcomes associated with the MBA through the creation of a solid work paper (master thesis). Students will be assigned an individual faculty member as supervisor of their work, guiding and counseling them by providing a strategic and methodological framework as well as general theoretical support.
