Undergraduate Foundation Programme (UFP)
From our centre at Birkbeck, in the heart of the University of London, you are encouraged to develop the tools for success on degree programmes at at the best universities in the UK. This is a one-year (three term) programme that will allow you to progress to a University degree at one of our University of London partner universities.
Who is this programme designed for?
This programme is designed to prepare international students, who have completed senior secondary education, for entry to undergraduate studies at top universities across the UK. All students who successfully complete the UFP are supported to gain a place at one of our prestigious University of London College partners or on a suitable programme of undergraduate study at the university of their choice. This programme is set at level 3, which is equivalent to A-level standard in the UK.
How long will I study for?
The duration of the programme is one academic year (nine months).
The year is divided into three terms of seven to eight teaching weeks, one reading week, and an examination week. You will undertake up to 25 hours of classroom-based study per week.
What will I study?
This programme includes four core modules, taken by all students throughout the course. These modules are: English, and a choice of three academic subject modules according to the progression degree.
