Kent Business School has over 25 years’ experience of delivering a high standard business education. The School has grown to become the largest department at the University of Kent. Our academic research and links with global business inform our teaching, ensuring a curriculum that is both rigorous and current.

We are a top 30 UK business school for our academic teaching and student satisfaction. Our portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes demonstrates the breadth and depth of our expertise. Our undergraduate programmes are flexible and available as joint degrees with Law, Economics, Maths, Philosophy, Computing or languages. There are also options to study abroad. We also hold professional accreditations, providing exemptions from several papers required for CIMA, ACCA and ICAEW qualifications.

KBS has two campuses well-located in South-East England, close to London.

Our main campus is in the historic and beautiful city of Canterbury; well-known as a city-break destination for anyone that enjoys art, culture, history and night-life. The campus itself is set in parkland, within easy walking distance of the city centre. In addition, Canterbury is 56 minutes by train to London, and 2.5 hours to Paris. Public transport is easily available and reliable.

Our Medway campus is urban with a maritime heritage, close to the towns of Rochester, Chatham and Gillingham, in North Kent. The campus is known for its excellent facilities, award-winning buildings and lively, vibrant community and social life. Medway is 40 minutes by train to London and 75 minutes by train to the Channel ports.

Research & Faculty

55% of our business and management research is rated "internationally excellent" or "world leading". Our faculty conduct world-leading research across a variety of topics having specialist expertise in areas such as sustainability, enterprise, diversity and finance. We host many externally funded research projects with high profile partners. Recent and current examples include The Economic and Social Research Council, The World Bank, The British Academy and the European Commission.
