UNDERSTANDING CLIMATE CHANGE
Research at BIOS aims to clarify how the ocean responds to a changing climate, from effects on individual marine organisms to influences on global ocean cycles. With this knowledge, politicians and managers can make better-informed decisions about issues that affect us all.
ADVANCING CORAL REEF SCIENCE
The health of coral reefs and the ocean are inextricably linked, as corals are influenced by a variety of physical and environmental stresses. Scientists at BIOS are investigating many aspects of global coral health, including reef ecosystem functioning, coral reproduction, and factors that influence coral skeleton growth.

BIOS is Bermuda's principal source for hands-on environmental education and a global training centrer for young scientists.
