Testimonials

Maria Luisa Lopez - MBA in International Luxury Brand Management, Class of 2005

"The more I learned about the MBA Luxe, I realized that there was no other MBA program that offered a unique combination of a total immersion in the luxury industry combined with the chance to personally interact with the distinguished luxury companies that support the program. The people who make up the class are selectively chosen from all over the world to complete the international and cultural diversity the program offers.

I chose the program because of other things too: the chance to travel and learn, the opportunity to do an internship in a luxury company, a chance to live in Paris, and the invaluable networking the program offers".

Tarun Thakral, '92 - Chief Operating Officer of Le Méridien Windsor Place, New Delhi, India

Why did you choose IMHI MBA?
I needed international exposure as there were limitations in the Indian Diploma program. While the Indian education offered basic knowledge and technical skills, there was a lack of managerial knowledge and expertise. During my initial meeting with Mr Gérard Guibilato (former IMHI Director) I was impressed about how passionate he was about IMHI. The course contents suited my requirements. Living close to Paris was the icing on the cake.

What are the most important things you learnt from your IMHI experience? What is your best memory?
The learning not only came from the diverse course contents but also from the variety of student colleagues of different nationalities. IMHI was an eye opener to the various cultural backgrounds of the fellow students. The group works with them taught us more than we could ever envisage. The course contents were solid and today when I look back, I am proud that a majority of courses that I took came in handy while working in the industry. Above all, IMHI gave me the confidence to handle any type of situation. The experience that I gained at IMHI was worth every second that I spent there.

What is your advice to students and Alumni?
IMHI is recognized throughout the world today and it is due to the Alumni who have done a great job in this regard. To the
present students, enjoy every minute of your time while you are there, you will remember these very moments for a long, long time. It's a competitive world out there and no matter which field you choose, success will be yours.

Kunal Nandwani - ESSEC MBA

I hold Computer Science Engineering degree from PEC, Chandigarh, India. I had learnt French in India and when I started thinking of higher studies abroad, France seemed like a good option as I could do a bilingual (English/French) MBA in highly reputed French business school. ESSEC topped in all the criteria when I was comparing the French Business Schools, international and domestic rankings, flexibility of its program, exchange programs with best global Business schools, its reputation among the top European recruiters and the feedback from the alumni.

I took a bank loan in India but my studies were mainly financed by the French Government scholarship, some scholarship from ESSEC and some paid research assistantships that I pursued at ESSEC. It had been a memorable experience, living close to Paris for around 2 years, studying in truly multicultural environment of ESSEC learning so much every day and enjoying every bit of it. I did an internship with a BNP Paribas in London. And upon graduation from ESSEC (2005), I started working with Lehman Brothers, London in Capital Markets.
