The University offers accommodation in three residences specifically designed for postgraduates: Mylne's Court, Richmond Place and Roxburgh Place. It also offers single-person studio apartments at South Bridge. Please note all accommodation is subject to availability.
1. Mylne's Court
Perhaps one of the most attractive University residences, Mylne’s Court is situated towards the top of the Royal Mile, close to Edinburgh Castle. Built in the 1690s, it has been restored to 21st century standards, without losing any of its period charm. Much of Mylne's Court has been redeveloped as flats for groups of up to five students.
2. Richmond Place
This modern residence is just a few minutes walk from the School. Built in a traditional residence style, most of the rooms are positioned on either side of long corridors, with kitchen and living areas at either end.
3. Roxburgh Place
This small, new residence accommodates 59 postgraduate students in five 12-person flats, sharing comprehensive kitchen and bathroom facilities. Located a few minutes walk from the School, next to Richmond Place, all rooms are larger than many in University accommodation.
4. South Bridge
Opposite Old College, this small development of single-person studio apartments is ideal for students looking for more privacy rather than sharing a flat. Each studio includes an open plan kitchen/living room/bedroom unit, with an en-suite shower room. The development is located just a few minutes walk from the School.
Private accommodation
Many MBA and MSc students prefer to live in private rather than University accommodation, particularly if they are accompanied by partners and families. If you are interested in renting privately, there are a wide range of flats and apartments in close proximity to the School. To help in your search for privately-available accommodation, the links below may be helpful. Equally, the School is sometimes notified of properties that are available for rent, for example, when current students leave Edinburgh, or if an alumnus has a property to rent.

In an international business world, it is important we have an understanding not only of the global business dimension, but also of the cultures and languages of the individual markets we deal with. The only true way to gain these valuable insights is to spend time there.
There are three ways to achieve just this on our undergraduate programmes.
Under the ERASMUS/ SOCRATES scheme, selected students spend their third year at another European university. We already have arrangements with institutions in Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy and Spain, and we are currently discussing potential links with others.
Business Studies students are also eligible to apply for a place on the University of Edinburgh and Business Studies International Exchange Programmes.
This enables students to spend their third year at a university in Australia, Canada, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore or the USA. Further exchange programmes are under development.
The MA in International Business and an MA in International Business with a Language involves students studying abroad in their third year.

Business School Advisory Board Member to co-run Fidelity Investments
Fidelity Investments named Ronald O'Hanley and Abigail Johnson to top roles after splitting responsibility for running the company.
Abigail Johnson, the daughter of Chairman Edward C. Johnson III, will oversee all customer and client-focused businesses as president of the personal, workplace and institutional unit. Ronald O'Hanley, who is joining from Bank of New York Mellon Corp., where he oversaw money management, will become president of asset management and corporate services.
Fidelity created two distinct units as the company has expanded beyond managing mutual funds into stock trading and retirement planning and institutional money management. In their new roles, Abigail Johnson and Ronald O'Hanley take over responsibilities previously held by Rodger Lawson, who stepped down at the end of March.
Ronald O'Hanley has been a member of the Business School's advisory board since 2004. The School advisory board exists to provide independent, external and commercially-orientated advice to the University of Edinburgh's Business School. The Board consists of a broad cross section of members of the international business community.<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/uebs-news/~4/BYRqT-wDv8M" height="1" width="1"/>
Professor David Marshall publishes new book- Understanding Children as Consumers
With critical insight, the contributors to this collection evaluate the child as an active consumer, and offer a valuable rethinking of the discussions and literature on the subject.
Questions asked include -
What drives children as consumers?
How do advertising campaigns and branding effect children and young people?
How do children themselves understand and evaluate these influences?
Whether fashion, toys, food, branding, money - from TV adverts and the supermarket aisle, to the internet and peer trends, there is a growing presence of marketing forces directed at and influencing children and young people. How should these forces be understood, and what means of research or dialogue is required to assess them?
