Accommodation

All freshmen are guaranteed housing.
PLU has a residency requirement (see below)..
There are a limited number of single rooms available for students, usually assigned to second year or above residents.
People - not computers - match roommates.
There is no Greek system at PLU.
Space is reserved in each hall (with the exception of South Hall) for new students to help create a more diverse community each year.

Room rates are the same for each hall (with the exception of South Hall). The rates below are for the 2005 - 2006 academic year, and are for double-occupancy.

Residency requirement:
PLU requires that all full-time students live in University housing unless you meet one of the following criteria:
Live at home with a parent, legal guardian, spouse, or child.
20 years of age or older on or before September 1st to be exempt for the academic year, or on or before February 1st to be exempt for spring semester.
Have achieved junior status (completed 60 semester hours) prior to the beginning of fall semester to be exempt for the academic year, or prior to spring semester to be exempt for the spring semester.

International student services

Social activities:
12 choral and instrumental ensembles, dance ensemble, theater, speech and debate, newspaper, radio, television, literary magazine. Fifty-five clubs including community service, religious, environmental, social justice, political, cultural ethnic, business, non-traditional student, nursing, anthropology, computer and outdoor recreation.
NCAA Division III. Women's intercollegiate sports: soccer, cross-country, volleyball, basketball, swimming, track and field, tennis, crew, golf and softball. Men's intercollegiate sports: soccer, football, cross country, basketball, swimming, track and field, baseball, crew, golf and tennis.
