All four colleges provide residential places in student hostels or halls of residence on campus. International students who wish to live in halls of residence are always welcome.
The Office of Student Affairs manages International House (I-House) and enhances the cosmopolitan nature of our campus through cultural and recreational activities designed for a diversity of students from different backgrounds and origins. It also coordinates student care services for incoming students, including communication sessions and student surveys to assist students in their adjustment to campus life. In addition, it administers the off-campus housing information service and provides advice and support for the postgraduate student association.
Under the Registrar's Office, the Learning Enhancement Officer Scheme was established in August 2006 with the main objective to make incoming non-local students more ready to benefit from CUHK learning environment. The Learning Enhancement Officers (LEOs) provide proactive support to students on adjustment and learning-related issues. Activities are also organized to encourage integration of local and non-local students.
