International students are generally provided with a broad orientation initially (tour of campus, student identification organised, copies of visa and OHSC information is obtained), followed by a more specific course orientation by the relevant faculty.

The Bremer Institute can assist international students to locate suitable accommodation such as homestay, shared or rental housing. Modern, purpose-built student housing is also available within Ipswich and Education City.

- Support for cultural adjustment and homesickness;
- Details of community support and multi-cultural services;
- Overseas health cover and health concerns;
- Information pertaining to visa conditions such as attendance, academic progress, contact details and working while on a student visa;
- Student identification (ID) cards and internet access;
- Arranging learning support to help with academic difficulties
- Information regarding Bremer Institute facilities and procedures.
The Bremer Institute can arrange airport pick up for international students - these arrangements are generally finalised at the time of enrolment. Please note that an additional fee applies for this service.
