RMIT offers more than 470 TAFE and higher education programs to international students. Study options include:

Programs include: English language, foundation studies, certificates and diplomas, associate degrees, bachelor degrees, graduate certificates and diplomas, master degrees by research or coursework, and professional or research doctorates.
'O Week' is traditionally held at the start of semester and is all about helping students find their way around RMIT University.
During orientation there is an academic and social program that is filled with helpful workshops, including information on study programs and student life involving the arts, sports, clubs and societies.

The RMIT Housing Advisory Service provides information, advice and assistance on the accommodation options available to students. These include:
- share and rental accommodation
- private student hostel accommodation
- homestay/full-board
- student apartment complexes.
RMIT Village Old Melbourne is another option. This privately operated hotel has been renovated to provide student accommodation and is conveniently located close to shops, cafes and RMIT's City campus.
Arrival Service
RMIT can arrange for international students to be met at Melbourne International Airport and transferred to pre-arranged Melbourne accommodation.
RMIT's aim is to enhance the experience of students by creating opportunities for involvement and building new skills. Some of the services available to students include:

- Chaplaincy
- Concurrent English language support
