UNSW Foundation Studies Scholarships

UNSW Foundation Studies (Sydney, Australia) is the longest-running foundation program offered by a University in Australia. We have a proud record of success with approximately 85% of Foundation Studies students gaining entry to university.

A guaranteed place at UNSW

Successful Foundation Studies international students have a guaranteed place via a provisional offer to an undergraduate degree at the University of New South Wales (UNSW).

Studies have shown that UNSW Foundation Studies graduates perform better than other international and local students at UNSW.

Scholarships

UNSW Foundation Studies and UNSW provide scholarships to international students who have strong academic ability as demonstrated in their high school or Foundation Studies results. The scholarships currently being offered or considered include:

Advanced English as a Second Language Scholarship (A-ESL)

The 2013 Advanced English as a Second Language Scholarship (A-ESL) is a scholarship program offered by UNSW Foundation Studies (UFS) to outstanding students with high levels of English proficiency. This award of AUD$2,000 is paid in the form of a tuition fee waiver.

A-ESL scholarships are available to all students, including Australian citizens and Permanent Residents, who meet the criteria (IELTS 6.5 with all sub-scores of 6 or an equivalent English language qualification). Please read the A-ESL information sheet for more details.

Hong Kong and Macau High Achievers Scholarships

Scholarships valued at up to AUD$10,000 are available to eligible students with outstanding academic results. Scholarship interview programs are normally held in Hong Kong in March and July/August each year.

Hong Kong Form 5 and 6 students are eligible to apply using their Semester 1 or Final results. Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents are welcome to apply.

Singapore High Achievers Scholarships

Scholarship interview programs are normally conducted by the UNSW Foundation Studies Principal in late January and also in October each year at the UNSW Singapore office. Please contact the Singapore office for further details info@unsw.com.sg or check your local media closer to the date.

Vietnam High Achievers Scholarships

Scholarships will be available throughout 2013. An interview program will be conducted by a UNSW Foundation Studies Representative in 2013 at the UNSW Vietnam office. Contact the Vietnam office for further details info.hcmc@unsw.edu.vn

Ross Woodham Scholarships

UNSW Foundation Studies awards the Ross Woodham Scholarships in honour of the late founding Director, Mr Ross Woodham, a graduate of UNSW.

The scholarships are for the most outstanding students in each major intake at UNSW Foundation Studies, Sydney, in each of the three following academic areas:

Science (Physical/Life combined)
Business
Arts and Social Science/Design and Media (combined).

Each scholarship is valued at AUD$7,500 and is offered to students (international or local) enrolling at UNSW.

In addition to these scholarships and awards, various subject prizes are given to outstanding students.
