Unilever one of the world’s largest consumer goods companies, have selected Cranfield University to help them develop new products which meet their commitment to help a billion people improve their health and wellbeing by 2020.
Unilever and Cranfield recently signed a new agreement to formalise their long-term partnership. Joint research is already underway to invent new products that will help to reduce the prevalence of global health issues such as obesity and Type 2 diabetes.
John Casey, Vice-President R&D, Unilever, said “I am looking forward to working more closely with Cranfield because their expertise in Health can play a crucial role in designing new products and technologies. Meeting major health challenges require innovative thinking, collaborative working and breakthrough science, and these attributes are precisely what this new partnership is about.”
