Choose to do your Honours year at UNSW and the Faculty of Science will cover the costs of relocation.
The UNSW Science Honours Relocation Scholarship is a new scheme designed to encourage high-performing students to study their Honours year in the Faculty of Science at the University of New South Wales.
This scholarship, valued at $5,000, goes towards the costs of relocating to UNSW from another university.
Why relocate to UNSW?
UNSW is a founding member of the prestigious Group of Eight universities in Australia with top national and international rankings for teaching and research, and a founding member of Universitas 21.
UNSW provides a vibrant and diverse community in which to study our wide range of science degrees. UNSW attracts some of the best Australian and international scientists and has award winning Laureate fellows, Federation fellows, Eureka prize winners and Rhodes scholars amongst its staff.
UNSW offers students the opportunity to learn from world-leading academics in state of the art facilities on a beautiful modern campus.
UNSW graduates are globally focused and are professionally equipped with the skills, knowledge and experience to satisfy a range of career pathways. Opportunities for students include: strong industry links, access to state-of-the-art technology, studying alongside quality peers, scholarships, internships, exchanges and much more.
Obtaining a five star rating (Good Universities Guide, 2012) for graduate employment – getting a job, starting salaries and positive graduate outcomes – ensures UNSW students are highly sought after in industry, government and not-for-profit sectors.
Why Science at UNSW?
A recent study shows that more than a third of Australian CEOs of ASX100 companies studied Science or Engineering at University – and more of these CEOs studied at UNSW than any other Australian university:
This is because the Faculty of Science at UNSW continually builds extensive and enduring links with the business community, enabling UNSW to develop research, lifelong learning experiences and partnerships.
The strong Advisory Council also acts as an invaluable source of advice, support and information. The Council lends their energy, experience and influence to pursuing the vision of the Faculty of Science, recognising that business, government and management organisations are important stakeholders in our success as a leading Science institution.
The Faculty of Science at UNSW has a student population of nearly 8000 and over 250 university partnerships. This results in cultural diversity, an international focus, and a truly dynamic environment. What’s more, with more than 40,000 alumni spread around the world you’ll be part of a broad network that can help you realise your dreams on a global stage.
