The first SAE was founded in 1976 in Sydney
Australia and was the first institute anywhere in the world to offer practical
audio education. State-of-the-art recording facilities and computer suites

audio courses SAE has also branched out into the fields of computer graphics
and animation, interactive multimedia, digital film production as well as
graphic design.
Since it's inception the Sydney campus has grown much like the company's

Engineer of the Year nominees, numerous positions in various fields of the

in Byron Bay, Australia. Byron Bay is a small coastal town (located 2 hours
south of Brisbane), which is a popular destination for international and

SAE Byron Bay offers two year Degree as well as one year Diploma programs
in Audio Engineering, Digital Film Making, Digital Animation and Creative
Multimedia. All of which are government accredited (CRICOS, VETAB) and recognised
globally.

Our courses focus on 4 main areas:
Audio Engineering/ Music Industry: for anyone interested in a career in

Digital Film Making: for anyone interested in a career in film or television

film making from television commercials to short features or documentaries;

Multimedia: the main focus for this course is in website design; desktop
publishing; computer based digital graphic design; and CD and DVD ROM authoring.
3D Animation: this is ideal for those interested in 3D design and FX design
for film (such as in films like "Shrek", "Toy Story"
or "Lord of the Rings"); 3D as it applies in television and advertising;
and computer based game design. (Note-this course is currently only available
