These programmes are primarily intended for those students who know they wish to study engineering but are unsure which discipline. Normally students on these programmes transfer to discipline-specific programmes at the end of the first year, though it is possible to continue throughout the three or four years choosing modules from across the disciplines. They are not accredited by any engineering institution.
