To match the ever-changing music and entertainment landscape of the 21st Century, Musicians Institute has reorganized all its programs into a streamlined, integrated College of Contemporary Music. The School of Performance Studies includes programs for Bass, Drums, Guitar, Keyboard Technology and Vocals; while the School of Entertainment Industry Studies offers programs for Audio Engineering, Guitar Craft, Independent Artist and Music Business. With over three decades of experience, MI is constantly developing new educational and career development initiatives to serve a global music community.
Performance Programs
Musicians Institute’s challenging music performance programs are a unique combination of contemporary music performance and rigorous education in traditional music disciplines. The intensive program emphasizes the development of stylistic depth, creative maturity and professional competence in preparing students to enter the contemporary music industry.

Alternative Programs
Our alternative music programs are designed to allow students to create full or part-time programs by choosing from available lessons, classes, workshops and other activities. Alternative programs include, 1 or 2 week Summer Shot programs, 10 week MI Select Program, 5 or 10 week MI Select Express and Extension night courses.

Guitar Craft Academy Nashville
MI’s Guitar Craft program offers comprehensive training in guitar design, construction and maintenance of both electric and acoustic guitars.
