Munich Business School has been the first state-approved private university in Bavaria since 1999. It is thus under the supervision of the Bavarian State Ministry for Education and Culture, Science and Art. Examination regulations are approved by the Ministry, and the university has the right to confer academic titles. All courses at the Munich Business School are accredited by the FIBAA (Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation). FIBAA is a European, internationally oriented agency for quality assurance and quality development in science education. Munich Business School was the first private university in Bavaria to receive institutional accreditation from the German Science Council. This decision was taken by the Panel following a detailed procedure during which the performance of research and teaching was examined to determine whether it complied with recognized scientific standards.
